Deirdre Valeria was born in Puerto Rico in 2007 and was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 when she had a respiratory arrest at 5 months of age.

 

SMA is a rare genetic illness for which there was NO cure back in 2007. Deirdre battled the SMA Monster for over 5 years.

 

Deirdre's memory has NO EXPIRATION DATE.

 

She lives every second to the fullest, through us, as she forever lives within our hearts!
