ABOUT MOM: VIVIAN RIVERA
She worked 10 years at the Vocational Rehabilitation Administration of Puerto Rico as a programmer and systems administrator, and has 13 years experience in the field of Information Technology. She is creative and likes to paint, write, draw and decorate, and is interested in emerging technologies. She makes illustration, animation and websites, and you can view her portfolio in her web site: www.KatabolicDesigns.com.
Vivian studied at the University of Puerto, Mayaguez Campus, and completed a Bachelor of Computerized Information Systems (1996) and Master of Business Administration (2002). She recently got a Diploma in Web Design at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh (2009) and recently began a second Bachelor degree in Computer Security in the Western Governors University (should graduate in 2012).
ABOUT DAD: MARK MEDINA
He worked for 5 years at Johnson & Johnson CORDIS in Puerto Rico as production operator. He is very loving, dedicated, and is the primary caregiver for Deedee (Mark is the one who primarily trains all nurses who come to us in Deirdre's respiratory therapy). He is interested in video games, aviation, and various branches of therapies.
Mark studied at ICPR Junior College in Mayaguez, completing an Associate Degree of Information Systems. He completed a certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) in 2009.
MY LITTLE SISTER: KALISTO BEATRIX
In June 2010 came into the world Kalisto Beatrix. She is the baby of the house ... literally.
Kali is always smiling and terrorizing his "little people" (although it may include many adults). Kali is also called "Tiny Terror", "Wailing Banshee" and the Empress. Her interests include Blue's Clues and Yo Gabba Gabba as well as raiding castles and destroying islands.
MY HALF-SISTER: AMANDA
Amanda (whom he named Mandy) is greater than Deirdre and Kali. This is the first daughter of Mark. She currently lives with her mother in Puerto Rico.
THE GODPARENTS
MARIA COTTO
Deirdre's godmother. Dedicated to journalism, graphic arts and design, law, and her great cat family. She studied fine arts and computer math at UPR Mayaguez. Maria always gives immediate positive energy and is always helping to fulfill the dreams of Deedee. Recently, after taking courses in special education, she decided to enter law school.
STEVE SEPULVEDA
Deirdre godfather. He completed an associate in computers and likes to draw cartoons. He's a fan of comedy, horror and action movies, video games and RPGs.
Steve is always aware of what the diva needs. What he likes most is making her smize (smile with the eyes).
THE GREAT-GRANDPARENTS
GLADYS COMAS
Born and raised in Mayaguez, Gladys was always in charge of the family business. She first helped in the business of her father, Don Pablo Comas, and then she was co-owner of Tienda Olivieri in Mayaguez for over 20 years. Of strong values and great determination, Gladys raised Vivian with velvet gloves and a firm hand.
WILLIAM OLIVIERI
Born and raised in Mayaguez, Willie served in the army during World War II. He was a high security guard in Berlin. Upon returning to the island, he set his business Tienda Olivieri.
Interested in agriculture,he brought up Vivian teaching her to nurture and appreciate nature (especially farms and beaches).
THE GRANDPARENTS
EDNA COMAS
Edna was born and raised in Mayaguez. She was raised by her parents (Doris and Papo) and Gladys. Edna is Vivian's mother. She studied History at the UPR, after which she became a teacher of Social Studies. She recently retired after more than 30 years of practicing the teaching profession. Her interests are family trees and history of the Caribbean.
NOLAN COMAS
For many years he taught at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez and was a great friend of the family. Nolan recently married Edna and became stepfather to Vivian.
MILAGROS COLON
Born in Mayaguez, but when she was 6 years old her family moved to New York. She studied at the Community College and became an office assistant.
Millie decided to return to Puerto Rico in 1987 and then she entered the needle industry in which she currently continues to work as a seamstress. She is Mark's mother.

CYNTHIA LEE GOTAY
Mark's sister. Born in Mayaguez. Currently studying Arts at the UPR Mayaguez. She enjoys crafts, drawing, and painting.

MELODY GOTAY
Mark's sister. Born in Mayaguez, and currently studies in ADEM Office Administration at UPR Mayaguez.
Melody is vocalist of a band of experimental music "One Night Away."
ADRIAN GOTAY
Mark's baby brother. Born in Mayaguez. He likes to draw, heavy metal, and plays acoustic and electric guitar.
Adrian is guitarist of a band of experimental music "One Night Away."
EDNITA RIVERA
Vivian's sister. Born in Mayaguez. She studied a BSBA in Business Administration focused on Administration Office at the UPR Mayaguez.
Edni is currently working in a government agency. She married Joseph, and has a beautiful daughter, Maria Isabel. She is also a cancer survivor!
